Fishponds Planning comprises a small but dedicated group of local residents who care passionately about the area in which they live. In short, we’re determined that the local community should be fully involved and represented in the development of their area.
An affiliate sub-group of the Greater Fishponds Neighbourhood Partnership, we work closely with the Partnership and the Neighbourhood Planning Network, with input and assistance from Bristol City Council planning officers, Councillors and relevant professionals.
Fishponds Planning members are currently looking into the implementation of a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) – a legally recognized planning blueprint for determining the future development an area – that once enacted can help shape the future of Fishponds around the needs and priorities of the local community.
We also have a particular focus on developments along the A432 Fishponds Road and are already liaising with developers on their plans for some key sites, by representing the interests of the wider community.
We would like to grow to at least a 21 member forum and are actively seeking the involvement of other local residents, particularly those with expertise and experience of town planning, architecture, legal and business affairs, or community liaison.
We’re dedicated to inclusive local representation. If you live in the Greater Fishponds Area, your views matter to us and you’re invited to become involved, regardless of ethnicity, age, gender, or any other factor.
